At a time when many celebrities are bashing law enforcement, it’s nice to see a public figure standing up for them.
Texans defensive end J.J. Watt has inspired the city of Houston with an amazing act of gratitude on behalf of the police officers and firefighters that keep residents safe every day.
Watt reportedly had pizzas delivered to every police and fire station in Houston along with dozens of handwritten letters thanking the public servants for everything that they do.

The Houston Police Officers’ Union also posted a photo of the letter on Facebook Tuesday:
It should not be a mystery as to why Watt is one of the most beloved players in the NFL.
If you are not familiar with J.J., or even if you are, you should know that the man is the real deal, a class act, who stays connected to his roots, his faith and his family despite the enormous wealth of being an NFL superstar.
This was exemplified by a great moment from a September postgame interview — when asked about his recent megabucks contract — that Watt showed his true colors, and connected with millions of Americans sick and tired of entitled sports brats and unaccountable thugs.
Way to go, J.J.!
