In the wake of the terrorist shooting of U.S. Marines in Chattanooga, Tennessee, many called upon the president to remove gun-free zones on military property. Instead, the president and his allies clamped down, even going so far as to label gun-carrying citizens who gathered to protect disarmed Marines a “threat.”
At about the same time, Obama and his administration orchestrated an appeasement deal with Iran over its nuclear program. Far from stopping the Iranians from becoming a nuclear power, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned, “it paves Iran’s path to the bomb.”
Not many saw the connection between these two things, but whoever was behind this sign did:
Yes, even though the president will allow Iran to have so-called “side deals” with the International Atomic Energy Agency — allowing the pariah state to possibly collect its own samples for inspections mandated under the terms of the agreement — Obama won’t allow U.S. Marines to properly defend themselves. This in spite of the fact that the last eight major mass shootings all took place in gun-free zones, something the media has conveniently ignored.
In fact, when groups of gun-carrying citizens volunteered to stand outside of recruiting centers in the wake of the attack, the government actually said they were a threat.
“Soldiers should avoid anyone standing outside the recruiting centers attempting to offer protection and report them to local law enforcement and the command if they feel threatened,” U.S. Army Recruiting Command said in a policy letter.
“If questioned by these alleged concerned citizens, be polite, professional and terminate the conversation immediately and report the incident to local law enforcement … Ensure your recruiters clearly articulate to local police the civilian may be armed and in possession of a conceal/carry permit.”
If only the president would treat Iran with the same skepticism he treats our own servicemen and citizens.
