Remember those words? Barack Obama uttered them in front of the entire world, at the United Nations in September 2012 — as part of his apology for the video that his administration falsely claimed was the cause of the Benghazi attacks:
It was a deeply disturbing thing for a U.S. president to have said. Almost unbelievable.
But it is far more disturbing today, as three Muslim terrorists heeded those words in slaughtering 12 Frenchmen — including two unarmed policemen — in a brazen attack at the offices of the magazine Charlie Hebdo.
The gunmen reportedly shouted in Arabic: “Allahu Akbar” (Allah is greatest) and then: “We have avenged the prophet.”
Charlie Hebdo had frequently published satire of Islam, along with every other religion, politicians and celebrity imaginable. It was after one of those satiric publications in 2012, of a cartoon loosely depicting Mohammed (see below), that the Obama Administration also took the purveyor of free speech to task for slandering that prophet.
Carney: The WH questions the judgment of the French mag that published offensive cartoon of the Islamic Prophet Mohammed.

Then-White House spokesmouth Jay Carney was directed to say the following:
“(O)bviously, we have questions about the judgment of publishing something like this. We know that these images will be deeply offensive to many and have the potential to be inflammatory.
(W)e don’t question the right of something like this to be published; we just question the judgment behind the decision to publish it. And I think that that’s our view about the video that was produced in this country and has caused so much offense in the Muslim world.“
In other words, do not slander the prophet of Islam — or else.
Today we saw the “else” in action:
Of course Christians did not riot when an “artist” immersed a crucifix in a jar of urine (Piss Christ), and museums put it on display. President Reagan did not denounce the work, nor the “judgement” behind displaying it.
But if the “prophet of Islam” is slandered, well, we should all expect the violence that results. In other words:
And in fact, both the CNN and the AP engaged in this direct hypocrisy today, when asked why they refused to publish the very cartoon that the French paper’s cartoonists were butchered for drawing. The AP responded: “It’s been our policy for years that we refrain from moving deliberately provocative images.”
Yet, on their website, the AP still offers copies of “Piss Christ” for sale to interested journalists:
CNN also displays “Piss Christ” on its website under “religious art” but refuses to show any images of Mohammed.
And now, security experts and predicting we may come under similar attack in the U.S.”
Morrell added a warning that law enforcement and intelligence agencies would need to “worry about copycat attacks, not only in France but in the rest of the world, and I would even say in the broader world to include the United States.”
This is what happens when you appease Islam. When you tolerate Sharia in any form. When you knuckle under and censor speech for fear of offending Muslims. Like how the DailyNews displayed the cartoon we showed above:
These pathetic journalists heeded the warning: “do not slander the prophet.”
This is the America Barack Obama wants. Do you?
