James Morales stumbled on a tree that left him breathless and amazed: the tree, depicted below, resembled Jesus Christ as he was on the cross prior to his death.
The resemblance was so uncanny that Morales decided to snap a photo of the tree and share it on Facebook.
The Facebook post had garnered over 27,000 likes and over 218,000 shares by Friday morning.
Here it is:
Morales called his photograph, “The Power of God’s Goodness.”
According to QPolitical, many people believe that God intentionally created this tree to reflect his son’s sacrifice on the cross roughly 2,000 years ago.
As Paul wrote in his letter to the Romans, “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities — his eternal power and divine nature — have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.”
That’s what makes this picture so powerful, and undoubtedly has served as an important motivation for some people to share it.
Many folks believe that the tree serves as a reminder that Jesus loved us so much that he was willing to give his life for us — and a reminder of our responsibility to serve him in return.
