Geraldo Rivera DESTROYS San Juan Mayor’s Lies Against Trump… Media Speechless

by Gina Cassini | Top Right News

Looks like the mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico, may have bitten off way more than she can chew in trying to politicize the Trump administration’s relief efforts following Hurricane Maria — now that Geraldo Rivera is on the case.

Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz was celebrated by the leftist media all day Saturday after she attacked Trump, bitterly complaining on TV and on Twitter.

President Trump quickly fought back hard, saying Democrats told her to get “nasty” to hurt him politically, despite the tens of thousands of FEMA employees and U.S. military men and women who came to her island to help them recover. The Trump-hating media rallied to her side, of course.

She even managed to create a custom “Help Us, We Are Dying” t-shirt, which she wore while complaining that “no one has power” (even T-Shirt Shack?) during a CNN softball “interview”…

But FoxNews’ Geraldo Rivera — who is on the ground for a week, witnessing recovery efforts on the entire island — saw it very differently. unleashed a series of brutal tweets.

Rivera — far from a fan of Trump — quickly destroyed the Mayor’s fraudulent narrative:

Even worse,  the intrepid Fox News correspondent-at-large fingered the culprit as he saw it: a “bankrupt criminally incompetent” culprit which has been linked to the mayor herself:

Rivera caught up with Mayor Cruz, sans T-shirt, and said she was “being partisan in her sharp unfair attacks,” although he did softly criticize Trump’s for the “tone” of his tweets.

“I’ve been traveling around, I don’t see people dying,” Rivera informed the mayor.

Cruz’ bias against Trump was explained further Sunday, when it was revealed by TGP that she was a huge Hillary Clinton supporter in 2016.

Even Cruz’ fellow Mayors are attacking her for her politically-motivated lies:

Guaynabo’s Mayor Angel Perez said he has no idea what the hell Cruz is talking about since his city has been receiving aid. “I don’t know why she is saying that,” Perez told the Daily Caller. “She is not participating in any meetings.

Mayor Perez echoed the sentiments of Richard Rossello, the governor of Puerto Rico, who praised President Trump for his rapid response to Puerto Rico’s aid requests.

Meanwhile, on Sunday the President refused to be cowed by the lying leftist media, pushing back hard while detailing some of the progress being made on the island:

Will the media and Mayor Cruz finally back down Monday now that their lies have been exposed? Because if they expect Trump to back down, they are seriously mistaken.
