Jeb Bush tried to attack GOP frontnrunner Donald Trump today — but it backfired big time, with Trump issuing a devastating response that exposed Bush as out of touch with the average voter.
It all started when Trump released another one of his trademark 15-second “ads” — again targeting Jeb.
The subject, as if often is with Trump, was illegal immigration, and Bush’s outrageous statement last year that when a foreigner illegally crosses our border, it is an “act of love.”
Trump’s ad is typically to the point, and effective:
Well, Jeb slapped back at The Donald today, putting out talking points against the billionaire GOP frontrunner portraying him as a closet liberal.
“He attacks me every day. He attacks me every day with barbarities. They’re not true. What we did today was to put out in his words to show that he’s not conservative.”
Um, the only problem is that Jeb made his attack…in SPANISH. So what he really said was “El hombre no es conservador.”
Seriously? Yep. And it wasn’t the first time the Hispandering Bush has done so, often saving his most pro-amnesty comments for Spanish-speaking audiences — as if we won’t find out about them that way.
In June Bush told Univision that the deportation of any illegal alien is “not an American value.” Bush also told Telemundo in Spanish that he was personally “hurt” (“herido”) by Trump’s “vulgar” comments that many illegal aliens from Mexico are criminals.
Um, many of them are, Jeb. That was the entire point of Trump’s ad. You just don’t get it.
Well within one hour of Jeb’s comments, Trump issued an epic response that showed just how out-of-touch the Bush scion was with the average conservative — or blue collar — voter:
Trump told Breitbart News:
“I like Jeb. He’s a nice man. But he should really set the example by speaking English while in the United States.”
Checkmate. Feel the butthurt.
