There is no love lost between London’s Muslim mayor Sadiq Khan and Donald J. Trump.
During the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign, Khan went after Trump with this tweet:
Well of course since then, London has been hit with two Muslim terror attacks in the space of just two months, leaving 12 dead (plus 22 more in Manchester), showing it was Khan who was “wrong” after all.
After the London Bridge attack, the now-President Trump let loose on the Mayor:
At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is "no reason to be alarmed!"

Pathetic excuse by London Mayor Sadiq Khan who had to think fast on his "no reason to be alarmed" statement. MSM is working hard to sell it!

In response, Khan called for a planned state visit of Trump to the UK to be cancelled:
The London mayor, Sadiq Khan, has called on the British government to cancel a planned state visit by Donald Trump after being criticised in two tweets by the US president.
Appearing on Channel 4 News on Monday evening, Khan said Trump was wrong about “many things” and that his state visit should not go ahead.
“I don’t think we should roll out the red carpet to the president of the USA in the circumstances where his policies go against everything we stand for,” he said.
But if Khan thought he would rally the leftist media and elites to his side, the Queen of England quickly dashed his hopes less than a day later.
As the AFP reported,
“The Queen has reiterated her invitation to Trump.“
OUCH! She did not even mention the Mayor’s objections.
The Guardian reported that Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, during an appearance on the BBC, cited the Queen’s action, and ignored the push by Khan and others to rescind the invitation to Trump.
“The invitation has been issued and accepted and I see no reason to change that,” Johnson stated.
White House press secretary Sean Spicer was asked to weigh in on Khan’s demand that Trump’s visit be canceled, but Spicer totally ignored Khan’s temper tantrum, saying simply:
“The president appreciates Her Majesty’s gracious invitation,” Spicer said.
Clearly Queen Elizabeth noticed President Trump’s very successful trip to the Middle East last month — which even the New York Times called an “unqualified success,” and realized the U.S. president is worthy of a similarly dignified reception in Britain.
Well played, Your Majesty.
SHARE this if you salute the Queen’s putting the arrogant Khan in his place
